Community Guideline

The goal of Humani-Well is to create and sustain a welcoming vibrant online community where people from all walks of life may inspire, debate, share thoughts, solutions, and enjoy themselves.

Participation in the Community:

Humani-Well is committed to creating and sustaining a welcoming online community where people from all walks of life may debate respectfully and exchanges ideas to inspire others and learn a bit or two themselves. Humani-Well, like any society, has its own set of rules. All members are bound to these regulations when they sign up for our platform and forum. Any member found to be in violation of these standards will immediately lose access to the Humani-Well platform, including the community forums, and will not be refunded for their subscription.

First and foremost, remember that everyone has an opinion and should feel free to voice it. Discuss and challenge concepts, ideas, opinions, not individuals! Either provide a well-reasoned argument or proceed. We have the authority to remove the comment without warning and/or ban you if it is deemed abusive.

2. Don’t advertise or sell your products

Humani-Well does not sell adverts or promotional features since it is a non-sponsored platform. Everyone who contributes to our cause should act ethically. We will not abide SPAM of any type.

3. We will not stand for fanboy nonsense.

If you can’t think of anything better to say than “[ insert name/person/company/brand/] rulz!!!” then please don’t. It’s uninteresting and you should avoid showing bias.  This is something you should read till you are aware of it.

4. No trolling – You know the ones – the ones who aim to bait, annoy, and cause chaos by interjecting irrelevant comments into otherwise appropriate conversations. Stay away from the bait and don’t contribute to the trolls’ ability to disrupt the conversation. Let us know, report it and go on.

5. Be helpful and kind to new users—Since you were a new user once, do the same for the new people.

6. Strictly no sexually suggestive language, racial insults, or vulgarity. If you would not say something to your grandma or children, then you should not say it either.

7. Use the “report abuse” responsibly – Use it sparingly and fairly. We reserve the right to revoke your permissions and/or ban you if you volunteer to flag legitimate content more often. We know who you are!

8. Stay on subject — Does this need clarification?

9. Piracy and other illegal actions are not allowed on this community forum. While we welcome constructive criticism and suggestions, we do not condone breaking the law or discussing illicit acts. If you upload it, your account will be banned and you might even face legal consequences from your local authorities.

10. Be considerate of others; this includes not flaming. Never give in; instead, maintain an impartial stance and treat others with respect or we will burn your account.

Various additional standards of behavior:

Content that (a) violates the rights of others, such as copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, obscene, pornographic, abusive, harassing, or threatening; (b) contains viruses or other contaminating or destructive features; (c) violates any applicable law; or (d) is libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, abusive, harassing, or threatens.

Recommended Approach

You can improve your social standing, karma, and points by doing the following:

1. Give it some thought before sending a hastily prepared reply. Despite your obvious intelligence, you manage to come across as less so.

2. It’s fair game to vote for anything you disagree with if the comment is well-written; just because you have a different perspective doesn’t mean you shouldn’t.

3. Doesn’t matter who posts; vote for the best stuff.

4. It’s not nice to write everything in capital letters; that’s called SHOUTING.

5. Take this opportunity to establish your own reputation and brand. You will experience good karma if you are helpful and polite.

6. Someone may outsmart you, learn from it, and don’t give in to your ego.

7. Avoid using adjectives like “best” or “greatest” unless you have proof or can explicitly express that it is your personal opinion. Good feedback maintains objectivity.

8. Re-enter the conversation when you can contribute meaningfully, aid in educating others, or seek the community’s viewpoint or help; otherwise, you run the danger of being labeled as a troll.

9. People value fresh perspectives, alternative viewpoints, and well-reasoned arguments.

10. Could you use any assistance? Huge gratitude goes a long way; remember it the next time you’re in need of assistance.
